Creative Studio For Hire – Built By Creatives
Hyde Studios Case Study • Music Artist Portraits
Zoe Unsworth’s session needed to work across artist profiles, press use and social promotion. A microphone-led hero image establishes her immediately as a singer-songwriter, while colour-lit, monochrome and more relaxed portraits provide flexible alternatives for releases, announcements and media features.

A working artist rarely needs just one headshot. Zoe required recognisable microphone imagery for music profiles, stronger colour for release and social promotion, and clean monochrome portraits that could sit comfortably beside editorial copy.
Hyde Studios allowed those requirements to be handled within one session. Changes in crop, lighting, styling and orientation created a compact image library without making the final selection feel disconnected.
The creative approach began with where each photograph would be used. The microphone frames establish Zoe’s profession, the purple and pink portraits create stronger social options, and the monochrome edit supplies clean press-ready alternatives.
01
The studio microphone gives the hero portrait immediate context, helping new audiences understand Zoe’s work before reading the accompanying copy.
02
Purple, blue and pink lighting produced bolder options for announcements, release artwork and social posts that need to hold attention quickly.
03
Black-and-white portraits reduce visual noise and create flexible images for interviews, features, artist biographies and event promotion.
The finished selection gives Zoe several ways to present the same artist identity. Landscape microphone frames work as profile banners, portrait crops suit social platforms, and monochrome images provide quieter options when the photograph needs to support written coverage.
Tell Hyde where the portraits will appear, which releases or events they need to support and the crops required by each platform. The session can then be planned around a useful final library rather than one isolated image.

The microphone portraits create an immediate link to Zoe’s work, but the session also made room for a more relaxed, contemporary direction. The pink styling and wider composition offer a useful contrast to the formal press imagery.
Together, the two approaches give Zoe options for different parts of a release cycle without asking audiences to recognise a completely different visual identity each time.
Zoe Unsworth is a Manchester-based singer-songwriter whose current work blends country with pop and soulful influences. Her official Linktree connects listeners to releases and social channels, while Spotify and Instagram provide the destinations where new portraits are most likely to be encountered.
UK Country Radio also presents Zoe’s background as a wedding and events singer alongside her move into independent country music. The Hyde portrait library gives that developing artist story a consistent visual foundation across press, streaming and social use.
