A Fashion Editorial at Hyde Studios with Ryan Mole

Manchester photographer Ryan Mole used Hyde Studios to create a fashion and jewellery editorial that moves from quiet portraiture to precise product detail. Window light, textured interiors and controlled close-ups connect every frame, while changes in styling, furniture and crop give each look a distinct purpose.

One studio, several looks, one visual language

Travelling from Manchester, the brief called for a gallery with enough variety for fashion, portraiture and jewellery use without losing its editorial consistency. Hyde Studios gave Ryan and the creative team natural light, lime-wash texture, furniture-led settings and cleaner backgrounds within one location.

That made it possible to move efficiently from relaxed seated portraits to tighter accessory frames, preserving the same warm palette and considered styling throughout the shoot.

From full looks to
fine jewellery details

Rather than rebuilding the set for every image, the team changed styling, camera distance and background emphasis. The result is a broader final gallery with a consistent mood—and more usable assets from the same studio session.

01

Quiet portraiture

Window light, warm interiors and considered poses created calm environmental portraits with an editorial finish.

02

Fast look changes

Furniture, wall texture, mirrors and clean backgrounds helped each outfit feel distinct without interrupting the shoot’s momentum.

03

Jewellery-led detail

Tighter crops gave rings, chains and bracelets enough clarity to work both within the editorial and as standalone product-led images.

One shoot with a complete editorial range

The final selection moves naturally between atmosphere and detail. Wider portraits establish the styling and setting; closer frames prioritise expression, texture and jewellery without breaking the visual language.

  • Environmental fashion and portrait imagery
  • Clean necklace, bracelet, ring and hand details
  • Product-led jewellery flat lays
  • A genuine camera-side BTS record from the shoot

A closer look at the shooting process

Consistency mattered as the shoot moved between full fashion portraits and smaller jewellery details. Keeping the lighting and camera setup controlled allowed the team to change compositions without losing the warmth, contrast and colour established in the wider frames.

That disciplined approach gave the final gallery one visual language, whether the focus was the model, the styling or a close-up accessory.

Natural texture, considered variation

The wider gallery shows how the same warm palette and restrained styling carry across full portraits, jewellery close-ups and product arrangements. Each frame feels distinct, but every image still belongs to the same editorial story.
