When Borough Life planned its Spring 2024 cover around Standish-born enduro champion Jane Daniels, the team met Jane at Hyde Studios with a competition motorcycle. A controlled dark set, warm circular light and clean studio portraits produced the cover, editorial pages, campaign crops and behind-the-scenes film from one booking.

Jane Daniels grew up in Standish and had already secured four world enduro titles when Borough Life made her its Spring 2024 cover star. Earlier that year, she completed the Dakar Rally as the highest-placed British rider and the event’s sole female finisher.
The cover needed to connect that competitive record with Borough Life’s optimistic local focus. Hyde Studios gave the production control over light, background and composition while keeping Jane and the motorcycle at the centre of the story.
The production moved between a cinematic low-key setup, clean editorial portraiture and moving-image coverage. That gave Borough Life a coherent visual identity while creating assets for print, web and social in the same session.

Issue 73 was published on 7 May 2024. In the magazine, Borough Life’s team met Jane and the team at Hyde Studios for the cover, thanked Hyde for its support and credits the images with setting the tone for the energetic issue.
